Story?

Postman Bear is a book about a bear who is celebrating his birthday and wishes to invite three of his friends to his party. The book chronicles his journey from his house to the houses of these friends as he posts them their invitations. The book uses rhyme as well as delightful y interactive flaps that can be lifted to reveal additional elements of the story in a fun and surprising manner. The simple text which introduces basic counting makes for a highly enjoyable read, and its length makes it perfect for role playing for younger children or even reading before bed.

What young children will like?

  • I am sure the concept of letters in this techie world.
  • Small board flaps which assist the unfolding story
  • Basic Counting
  • Simple rhyming helps carry the story along.
  • The flaps are easy for small hands and fingers to open.
  • Lovely illustrations and a nice story that is just the right length to keep toddlers interested.

    Medha liked it ?

    • It is her favourite book and she loves lifting the flaps and turning the pages as we read it together.
    • She loved the little bear in bright red waist coat.
    • She loved the last page where Bear gets ready for the party baking a cake and finally welcomes all his friends at the door.
